I don’t get it, I really don’t. Everyone seems to be concerned about illicit drugs and how they make this world a terrible place… but there are many kinds of pharmaceutics which can also be quite harmful, and nobody seems to much worry about them. And don’t take me wrong, I don’t meant to advocate the use of drugs of any kind; it’s just that I think it’s somewhat ironic that some dugs seem to have a worst reputation than others. I was just checking out the 1800 bad drug website, and I was amazed to find out many popular legal drugs in there… definitely worth checking out for a eye-opening experience.
Since I’m bringing up the whole drug issue, I might as well express my own perspective on the subject matter. You see, as far as I can see there are many widespread legal drugs which aren’t regarded as such, but they should. The most notable example is alcohol, of course; millions of people lose their life to alcoholism, and still not many people thing of it as a drug. How ironic is that? In my opinion, any substance that is prone to addictiveness should be regarded as a drug and people should be taught not to abuse them… even something as apparently harmless as sugar should fit the bill, as far as I can see. Do you think this is an extreme opinion? I’d certainly like to know your opinion, so go ahead and submit a comment.
