August 6th of this year marked the beginning of tension in the Tottenham area ofLondonthat many are saying may result in an all out civil war. On that day police are claimed to have shot a man named Mark Duggan dead, and the facts that are associated with the occurrence are anything but clear.

There is a very large group of people who believe that the shooting was a major injustice, and some of those people feel that it is their duty to seek that justice. In cases like these it is not uncommon to see violence, but the violence that has taken place inLondonis severly uncharacteristic of the area where the shooting and the subsequent marching demonstration took place. For four days violence continued to plague the area, resulting in multiple arrests and injuries of both cilvilians and police officers, but since then the violence has been minimal. Still, though, once such a sensitive situation results in violence the opportunity for more violence to occur is definitely there.

The thing is, though, the people ofLondon’s Tottenham area did not really start out with a reason to act in a violent manner towards one another, but rather the police that they felt were responsible for Duggan’s death. And “civil war” is defined as being a war between the people of a certain area. It seems that if civil war was inLondon’s future that the violence that occurred in that first week of August would not have ceased, but the fact is that things seem to be much more settled down in the city now, even though it is still being monitored by police forces. Just as the violence that occurred in August came out of nowhere, though, beginning within only two days of Duggan’s shooting, violence can come about quickly again, and escalate even quicker, especially when the people feel that an injustice has been served.

The chances of violence breaking out in London’s Tettenham area again in the near future, and ultimately leading to civil war, really has to do with the proceedings regarding the police and the rioters involved in the August riots. The people ofLondonare not going to forget what they feel is a major injustice committed against an innocent man, and the police are not going to stand for the violence brought on by rioters, which means tensions will likely remain high. While the situation seems to be under control for the time being it must not be forgotten how quickly violence can escalate.

The situation that led to the riots, the shooting of Mark Duggan, is currently being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission. If the Commission finds the truth regarding what happened, and the people feel that justice is served for Duggan, it is possible that the violence thatLondonrecently saw will not be repeated. But if the people ofLondondo not feel that justice has been served it is hard to tell what may happen in the Tottenham area next.

If you haven’t heard about Captain Unitard, then I should say you’re missing out on one of the most fascinating and useful heroes of modern age. Here, just watch this video and I’m sure you’ll be promptly enlightened:

You see.. when it comes to vacation homes, Unitard knows best. If you’re looking for vacation rentals or even going all out for luxury vacation rentals, the Unitard is the kind of guy who will never let you down. Because he is well aware that vacation rentals are oftentimes less expensive than small cramped hotels. Because he knows that your family can spend a wonderful vacations in a luxury rental house, for half of the amount you’d spend booking a hotel for the whole family.

Hurry now! Be quick! There’s no time to lose. I mean, not if you’re looking for a perfect vacation rental. The most perfect vacation rental you can imagine may be waiting for you to find it. Will you just stand there and do nothing?

On modern society, I’m of two minds. On one hand, I very much enjoy living in broad information age. I love technology and progress as much as the next guy. On the other hand, sometimes I feel I could use some peace of mind. I love occasionally spending some time away from it all. Fortunately, there are now solutions that allow us to take the best from both worlds. I’ve been looking up some satellite internet service providers, and apparently one can get an Internet service even in the most remote and desolate areas of the United States of America.

Sometimes, I really do feel like just leaving it all and get out on the road. I could make a reasonable living from my freelance gigs and internet endeavours, and I could just roam freely and aimlessly around the country. Can you imagine what a grand adventure that would be? All I would need would be a netbook (solar powered, of coure) and satellite broadband, and I could really go around wherever my whims would push me. Kind of like a modern age beatnick, except I would be able to afford renting a motel room or a cottage whenever I felt like doing so. Does that sound like a plan, or what?

Have you ever been to Australia? I’ve never been there myself, but a friend of mine is planning a trip and I’m helping him deal with some technicalities, such as locating a good car hire Canberra airport. It was actually simpler than I expected, and all things accounted for the prices actually look enticing. Seems to me that life down under is a little bit more inexpensive that in the good old United States. After doing a little research on the subject matter, I realized that Australia might even be a good place to visit, or even to live for a while.

The funniest thing about it? Well, for some reason I’d never really thought about visiting the land of Oz. In fact, I just realized I know next to nothing about Australia, except for the fact they have kangaroos and boomerangs and whatnot. In other words, I know next to nothing about that whole continent. That’s just so wrong! I cannot wait for my friend to let me know what life is like over there, and if all goes well maybe I’ll think about doing a little traveling on my own, maybe in the summer time. Although the best time to visit Australia is probably in winter time, since they’re sitting on the opposite hemisphere. Oh, well…

Have you ever been on a European cruise? I haven’t, but that’s something I’ve clearly inscribed and double-underlined in my list of things to do before I die. It must be something else, getting on a cruise, and just drifting along in the wide seas for a couple of weeks: doing nothing but sun-bathing, saloon dancing, cocktail-sipping and generally getting lost in the big blue. I’m usually not a big fan of boats, especially when they’re too small… I’m always afraid they’ll tip over and I must confess I’m not that good a swimmer. But I don’t think that a proper cruise boat would make me uncomfortable! Those things are rock solid and steady… right?

I was just drifting along in one of my usual inordinate musings over the Internet, after having stumbled upon this cruise booking website. Oh, how I wish I was rich (yeah, doesn’t everyone?), and just be able to take a week off stating tomorrow, and take my girlfriend along in the cruise of a lifetime! But that’s not really how it works for us blue collar types, is it? Well, at least we can dream about a better tomorrow! Also, cruises aren’t so expensive nowadays, so maybe all it takes is a little saving and I’ll be able to indulge my dream.

This is terrible! I had quite the busy summer and I didn’t really get much in the way of vacations; I thought it would be alright but it isn’t! I keep daydreaming about some decent vacations abroad, and not even my occasional inter-state escapades seem to do the trick anymore, in soothing my mind. Right now… if I could choose just about any destination and take off, I think I’d go for a costa rica surf vacation. I was never much of a surfer dude, but I think it’s just about time I try it; well, I might even e really good at it! Maybe the Costa Rican people will revere me as some kind of ancient deity reincarnated! I don’t know… maybe I’ll just catch some sun and revel under the clear blue sky.

Oh man, I really should stop torturing myself like this. But I couldn’t help but making some research, and I immediately came across this video by the Costa Rican Tourism Board. Within this footage, they make a great job of making people feel drawn to their beautiful land, and specifically make me feel depressed because I can’t go there just right now. But I will! In the upcoming months, I’ll be doing serious planning and next summer, it’s either Costa Rica… or Costa Rica anyway! Sounds like a really fun place to visit, wouldn’t you agree?

Pop quiz, hot shot: do you know which is the so-called art capital of the West? Do you know what’s the most influential city in Colorado? Are you wondering why I’m writing this post like it was a Jeopardy show? Well, the answer to all these questions (okay, MOST of these questions) is none other than DENVER! One of the most fascinating cities in the US I’ve always wanted to visit, and one that I’m effectively thinking about visiting later this month. It all started when I came across this Denver Hotel which is offering quite enticing prices, and I really couldn’t help myself… sooner than I realized, my mental cogs were already turning westbound, thus getting me in a state of huge anticipation regarding a visit to Denver.

I’ve been making some research concerning things worth seeing in Denver, and it’s a good think I’m planning to visit for a whole week. There’s really a lot of things going on in Denver and I want to see it all! From the beautiful Montrose landscapes to the Colorado Railroad museum (I’m a big fan of trains) to the Royal Gorge bride and Park… Denver looks like a wonderful place to visit. And I think I’m going there just in the right season as well; from what I’ve read so far, it seems as though Fall is the perfect season to visit this city, which apparently gets particularly striking this time of the year. If anyone out there is familiar with Denver, don’t be shy! I want some great ideas on how to spend my time there, so kindly use the comments box down below to make your suggestions.

I’ve just about had it! You see, my girlfriend keeps making fun of me because she thinks I’m a total geek (which I’m not; I perceive myself as merely some kind of half-breed geek), so I’m finally going to make a drastic move. It’s not going to be easy, but I’ve made up my mind… I will take that girl by surprise and kidnap her! And I mean that in a romantic way, of course. You see, I’ve been doing some on-line chatting with an European friend lately, and he keeps telling me about what a wonderful place Rome is – and the guy isn’t really Italian! Apparently, when it comes to having fun in Europe, rome events is where it’s at. With that in mind, well certainly my curiosity is spiked!

So, after doing some research on rome italy hotels and rome italy accommodation and stuff like that (and after doing a good deal of cross-referencing with my limited budget), I’m confident I can do this without going totally bankrupt. Besides, visiting Europe for a couple of days will be much welcome experience, and for once I’ll show my sweetheart I’m not all about technology and Internet. Also, I must admit I really haven’t been giving her all the attention she deserves because I’m always busy with work. So for once, I’m about to prove her what I’m really all about. I’m telling you, bucko readers… if you want to make a girl happy, it’s all about coming up with an occasional sweet surprise!
