Everyone wants to save money especially these times of crises. For printer users, replacement of ink cartridges means spending of money. They need to buy either brand new printer ink cartridges that are more expensive or choose to buy remanufactured or refill printer inkjet cartridges that are a little cheaper as compared to brand new. Either way, they will still spend money. So how do you make your ink cartridges last longer? Here are some tips.
Consider the Value of Printing
If you find an important data or information on the internet and you think that there is no need to print it for a hardcopy, then don’t print it. If it is enough to see it online, then do this.
Consider the Environment
Avoid exposing your printer inkjet cartridges to extreme temperature. Avoid too cold or wet environment to avoid leakage of ink; prevent your ink cartridges to be exposed in too warm area to avoid drying up.
Draft setting
You can set your printer setting to Draft mode to save more ink and make printing faster.
Save your Colored Ink
You can save your colored ink by using your black ink more often when printing black and white texts. Use your colored ink only as necessary.
Regular Printing to Maintain the Cartridges
Once in awhile, print some texts to keep your printer inkjet cartridges warm preventing them to dry up.
Print Preview
Use the print preview before printing your files. This way, you can avoid unnecessary errors and spaces that will be the cause of re-printing.
Use Remanufactured Ink Cartridges
After your original ink cartridges got empty, instead of buying brand new cartridges, try to buy refurnished printer inkjet cartridges that contains more ink than the brand new ones.
