  • Music, booze, friends and trends – that’s how we roll!

Those are three things I’m dearly fond of: music, friends and discounts. It’s not to common to see them all at once in the same place, but all the while it feels quite refreshing. And if you’re confused regarding what I’m talking about, just check out this MusiciansFriend.com Coupon I was just mailed!

Of course, you’re free to use the coupon as well, and if you’re a music friend you definitely should. That’s unless you don’t like saving up while getting the best deals on the best music, of course… but if you’re reading my blog you must be a smart person, so I doubt you won’t be able to take advantage of this offer. You know, when it comes to having fun – there’s nothing quite like music. In fact, listening to good music gets even more enjoyable when you’re around some of your good friends.

But I don’t need to tell you that, do I? Not unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 20 years at least. But enought with the idle chat, wouldn’t you agree? Just call over some of your friends and get a hold of your favorite records and get yourself a party! And if you want to invite me, I’ll be happy to join you, of course!

  • Telephone call? I say it’s about time you go VoIP!

Heads up, dear reader! If you’re the kind of person who’s still paying telephone bills… you really need to catch up. There are now business VOIP alternatives (and also personal VOIP, of course) that will endow you with the magic gift of distance conversation at almost negligible price. I think it’s amazing how many people still haven’t realized the advent of VoIP is steadily making telephone landlines grow obsolete.

In case you don’t know, it stands for “Voice over Internet Protocol”, and in layman’s terms it’s a way of making actual telephone calls over the Internet. It’s pretty much the same thing as regular telephone calls except it costs a fraction of the price! If you’re still paying telephone bills, you really should look into getting a VoIP alternative.

If you’re looking for the best Voice over IP provider in the UK, you may want to check out SynergyOne to get some impartial advice as well as learning which solution is more appropriate to your needs. This is a recommendable company because they offer a solid and on-going customer service, and they will help you develop a scalable system that meets all your requirements.

  • It’s a brand new age, music lovers! MP3 says so.

So, what kind of music do you like best? You know, sometimes I cannot help but feeling amazed with the fast progress of music-related technology. To think that in my youth, back in the eighties, I was still a devout of mix tapes! And just a few years later I was blown away with the advent of music CDs, and just over the turn of the century the real music revolution came about: digital music formats, namely the wildly popular MP3. I still remember when I listened to my first MP3, I was maybe 17 years old and I was utterly blown away. I knew it was the beginning of something special.

And it goes without saying… it was indeed the beginning of something special. Kids these days don’t have a clue of how lucky they are, to get access to free mp3 search and download at the click of a button. Back in the day, finding new music wasn’t always an easy task! Fortunately things have gotten much simpler… even though in a way it takes from the whole romanticism. Getting a new album was a special event, when I was young. Nowadays, well… it’s pretty common, to the point that sometimes people don’t even bother listening to new music. But I guess it’s better this way, right?

  • Granfather clocks, strange dreams, blame it on sea food.

Hot damn, I just had the darnest strangest dream in a long while. There’s something about sea food that prompts me to have strange dreams, and since last night I had some shrimp in my dinner… well, let’s just say I was kind of expecting I’d have strange dreams over the night. And boy, I did have a strange dream. It wasn’t an entirely original dream, I must admit: it was partly about my fascination with grandfather clocks, and partly about an old tv show I watched when I was a kid, that was also centered on a magical grandfather clock.

The show was called “Secret Garden” or something to that effect, and it was about a grandfather clock that somehow acted as a portal to … well, a magical garden. So, in my dream events unfolded pretty much like in the show. In the middle of the night, the magic clock usually rang 13 strokes, and that was about the time one where people could use it as a portal to visit that secret garden. And so I did. And well, to be honest I don’t quite recall what happened when I stepped into the garden, but all the while I thought it was pretty cool that I would dream with such an ancient TV show. Well, I blame it on the sea food!

  • How to save money when buying a new car!

There are two kinds of people in the world. Okay, there are probably more than two kinds of people in the world – but bear with me. To the purpose that suits the following reasoning, there are essentially two kinds of people in the world. There are smart people who care about saving, and there are not-so-smart people who just disregard all prospects of getting more for less. If you’re part of the latter group, then you probably won’t be interested in learning about Car Shipping. However, if you are thinking about buying a new car and you aren’t opposed to the idea of saving a couple of hundreds or thousands of buck, listen up.

As you might now, car prices tend to vary wildly across states in the US. Sometimes it does pay off to buy a car somewhere and ship it across to a different state. If you do your research and look for the right car shipping, you can easily get the same car you would in your own state and save a good amount of money. Sounds like a plan, doesn’t it? If you haven’t thought about doing something like this yet, I recommend you think about it next time you’re looking for a car.

  • The hitchicker’s guide to free stuff on the web.

If you’re a fan of everything free, then I say it’s about time to rejoice! Now more than ever there are all kinds of freebies available on the Internet. In fact, there are now websites specializing in distributing free goodness. How cool is that? If you think I’m making this up, just pull out your favorite search engine and look for “free stuff” or “freebies”. You’ll be happy to realize how simple it is to download freeware programs, or even free music from aspiring authors, or free books from upcoming authors. You can also get free samples delivered to your mailbox from your favorite products.

It goes without saying how the Internet is a privileged medium for divulging promotional information, so many businesses hand out free stuff in an attempt to draw the consumers attention. The amazing thing about it is that with so many promotional freebies going around, one could almost spend a lifetime getting by on free samples of food, drinks, band-aids, and all imaginable kinds of products. It may all sound kind of alien the whole concept, but trust me it’s as simple as visiting the right websites and submitting your physical address – no purchase required, of course!

  • Okay, so I’m officially afraid of commitment.

I have a fear of commitment. And I’m definitely not afraid to admit it. So when my girlfriend casually showed me this website offering discount engagement rings you can bet I panicked. I mean, any guy would, right? Now, don’t take me wrong ( I guess this is something only guys will be able to relate to ), it’s not that I don’t like her. I like her very much, thanks. The whole concept I don’t like is the idea of engagement. I think there are some walks in life that should be threaded with time, and getting an engagement ring is one of the easiest ways of putting the figurative ox ahead of the cart.

Okay, like I said before – I panicked. I had a stupid reaction, and I almost feel like writing a public apology in my blog. But that isn’t quite what I’m doing. Still, I felt like venting, and this seemed like as good as place to do it as anywhere else. Oh well… I’ll probably just end up buying those rings on my own as a Valentine’s surprise. But still… the whole idea of engagement does sound scary to me, and I see no point in acting brave about it.
