• And after all… you're my touchwall!

Eyes peeled, dear reader! What you’re about to see is nothing short of a preview from a future that’s just around the corner. This impressive touch-wall was available last year in Cannes festival, and let me say it was a wonderful touch! This kind of application will probably start getting brought to all kinds of events, since it brilliantly bridges the gap between information, interaction and connectivity. But don’t just stand there following my rant, you’ll do much better to watch the video demonstration:

  • What's new in Firefox 3.5? Let's find out!

Even though we still live in a technologically challenged society of individuals – most of whom can’t really tell the difference between (let’s say) a browser and a search engine – there’s still much going on everyday, and thankfully, new software keeps getting released and improved all the time, with the aim of making our lives easier. Among such software, a prime example is obviously Firefox, which is not only my browser of choice, but also one of the slickest little programs anyone could possibly hope to use, with the effect of browsing the Internet. If you’re an intelligent person, I won’t have to tell you just why Firefox is a superior browser; but maybe you’ll be interested to watch what’s new in the upcoming version 3.5:

  • Feel like doing a prank? Consider this!

In this day and age, computers are useful for many things. For example, you can use a computer to type text, or make calculations, paint a picture or browse the Internet. OR, if you’re feeling a little bored, why not think about using someone’s computer to prank them? If the idea sounds intriguing but you’re not sure how to do it, here’s a video that might provide you with some food for thought. Enjoy!

  • Need something to be afraid? Try the millenium bug!

I don’t know about you, but I really hate conspiracy theory. In fact, I pretty much hate anything that doesn’t follow logic, or follows only a logic of its own. Furthermore, I profoundly dislike it when people try to coax others into fear by using something that closely resembles logic, but that’s actually gibberish. One of the best examples I can find of this principle is the whole Y2K bug thing. Remember that? Back a few years, some fear mongers actually tried to talk people into believing that all electronic devices might just… cease to function at the turn of the millenium? Man, that was so XX century. I’m really glad we’re over that!

  • Kindle 3: when reading gets totally awesome!

You might not have heard about it, but it quite turns out that Amazon has already released the newest version on their popular line of e-readers, Kindle. The newest Kindle 3 introduces such an amazing technology that reading is now more pleasurable than ever. In fact, some people are saying it makes reading such a nice thing that it barely feels like reading anymore! Isn’t that great, when technology makes our lives easier? ;-D

  • Steaming hot: sauna endurance championships!

Granted, we’re all major fans of technology here… but every once in a while a guy (or girl) must know how to relax and take a break, do something different. Diversity is the key to a happy and fulfilled life! Engaging diverse activities such as – say, relaxing in the sauna can work wonders to preserve our health and well-being. But what happens when people engage endurance competitions to see who can withstand the most time in a blazing hot sauna? Is that still a good thing? Those people are a little geeky, if you ask me – although obviously I respect their thing. Myself, I prefer taking it much easier and just relaxing in the sauna!

  • Blast from the past: remember before the Internet?

The Internet has pervaded our lives in a deep and unthinkable fashion – that goes without saying. Nowadays, the memory of how people communicated before the advent of e-mail, instant chat and message forums is getting progressively fuzzier. Granted, people just talked with each other and they still do that… the only difference being that now it feels as though the barriers of space have been surpassed. Nowadays, we can talk with anyone, anywhere over the Internet, and this is in my opinion a very good thing. If you’d like to go on a nostalgia trip down memory lane, the following video is just the thing for you. It’s a little news piece from the 1990′s documenting the rise of a new, unimaginable medium of communication: the Internet.
